Children retrieving a stray football · different NAVSIM junction
Scene #001 approved · new map awaiting reviewYour approval is recorded for the reviewed original-map revision 9. This different-map rehearsal is revision 2 and awaits your review. Approval record
On a distinct NAVSIM Boston street and four-way junction, three children play short football passes on the north sidewalk. A stray kick sends the ball into the ego lane beyond the junction. One child briefly retrieves it and returns immediately; all children and the ball are clear by 10 s. Off-road passes and moving footwork continue through the ending. Ego stops before the upstream approach line, resumes after two seconds of sustained clearance, and finishes in NORMAL driving. The unaffected lead car continues forward.

Critical moments
What to verify
- Exactly 3 children and one persistent football throughout the 47 seconds.
- Children start playing off the road; the stray ball rolls into the road and the only road interaction is retrieval.
- Every kick happens off the roadway. Children who enter turn back immediately after the one-second pickup.
- All children and the ball have mapped sidewalk clearance from 10 seconds through the end.
- After returning, repeated football passes and child movement continue through the ending; no frozen post-clearance cast.
- Ego front bumper stops 1.1 m before the approximate line, remains outside the intersection, and resumes after two seconds of clearance.
- Unaffected lead car moves at 1.8 m/s throughout; related vehicles avoid all authored actors and context vehicles.
- Final meta-action is NORMAL and ego has passed the children.
- The NAVSIM anchor token, source log, map geometry and original camera photos differ from the first three rehearsals.
- Children avoid every background actor, including source pedestrians, throughout the full episode.
Review notes
Inspected all 21 event, stop-line, calibrated front-camera and football-contact views from committed revision 2, plus both native Higgsfield artifacts. This is a distinct NAVSIM anchor 38da4e087bf4599f and source log, with a different four-way junction and its own original camera photos. Exactly three children and one persistent ball: off-road play, one brief retriever, a one-second pickup, immediate return, and continued sidewalk passes and footwork through 40 s. Children and the ball are clear from 10 s. Ego stops with its front bumper 1.1 m before the approximate line upstream of mapped intersection 45225, waits two seconds after clearance and ends in NORMAL driving at 3 m/s past the children. The unaffected lead keeps moving at 1.8 m/s. The ball travels 33.88 m after return and is rolling at 1.4 m/s in the final frame; the third child is still moving. All 941 exported samples pass position, facing, sidewalk, relevant vehicle and child-to-background footprint checks. Visual optimization moved two overlapping source pedestrians to clear mapped sidewalk holding positions, recorded as counterfactual context changes, and gave the third child a lime shirt. The minimum child-to-background gap is 1.114 m. The source map and camera photos are unchanged; the approach line remains an approximation.
Check action, relative position, facing, posture and visibility. Approximate offsets are acceptable. Sampled visual checks do not prove every contact or continuous collision clearance.

Original NAVSIM camera context

6 conflicting background actors were moved to clear holding positions for this counterfactual rehearsal. The unaffected lead vehicle continues forward throughout this rehearsal. Original photos remain unchanged. Before later inpainting, any overlap with original-photo traffic must be resolved. Background positions in this 3D rehearsal are not an exact replay of the photographs.
After scene approval
The working pipeline will edit each original NAVSIM camera photograph with Image 2.5. Its same-time Higgsfield view will provide position and posture, annotated with facing direction and current speed. Temporal image requests will cover the full event with a 1 Hz base plus critical moments.
Assumptions and source provenance
- NAVSIM source anchor 38da4e087bf4599f from log 2021.10.06.17.43.07_veh-28_00508_00877 supplies the new map, calibrated cameras and detection context. The football scenario is newly authored counterfactual motion.
- Three children play short passes entirely within the mapped north sidewalk; no dedicated football pitch is inferred.
- The approach line is a documented approximation upstream of mapped intersection 45225. Original NAVSIM photos remain unchanged.
- The source forward vehicle receives a newly authored downstream start and continuous 1.8 m/s path to act as an unaffected lead car. Conflicting background paths receive recorded holding positions before the episode.
- Ego brakes from 6 m/s, keeps a 1.1 m front-bumper gap before the line, confirms two seconds of clearance and accelerates to 3 m/s.
- Approval of predecessor revision 9 is historical; this different-map rehearsal requires its own human review.
Fresh GPT-6 motion plans use semantic descriptions from the pinned consolidated catalog and NAVSIM environments. No upstream nuPlan vectors, trajectories or images are used. The four source environments are reused; 82 scenario descriptions do not mean 82 independent locations.
